HCUK Public Service: Charity Virtual Hackathon

HCUK logo event banner

Public service is central to the core of the mission of Harvard. HCUK is organising the following volunteering opportunities:

Would you like to be involved in public service but not able to do so in person in London? This is a remote opportunity to engage in HCUK Public Service. The Charity Virtual Hackathon will bring together a small number of Harvard alums to help a charity resolve operational or organisational issues (e.g. marketing) that they are facing. Together, we will come up with ideas and advice for the charity and provide an objective outside view of the problem and explore options for potential solutions.

No specific previous experience is needed, just a curious and open mind and a desire to help a charity to come up with novel ways to solve and think about existing issues that they are facing. Any previous experience in working with charities is always welcome.

This upcoming virtual hackathon will support a charity called Their Voice. This charity is devoted to supporting families and individuals who have faced the horrors of modern slavery and human trafficking. Their mission is to empower, enable and inspire hope through the provision of both practical and emotional support.
