An HAA Associate Member is defined as an individual who has not earned a degree from Harvard University or Radcliffe College but has enrolled in a degree program and completed at least one credit-granting course with a passing grade; or a non-degree individual who has completed a certificate program or programs of at least nine weeks cumulative duration. In addition, HCUK may, at its discretion, accept others with a close connection to Harvard, such as faculty, fellows, honorary degree holders and parents of current students.
Sloane Club Access
There are only two Harvard Clubs in the world with their own club buildings, New York and Boston. As the largest Harvard Club outside the US, there is a strong rationale for HCUK to have its own club facilities, but securing a club building is not on the near-term horizon.
We have therefore formed a partnership with The Sloane Club, which has kindly offered HCUK members a generous 65% discount off the standard one-time joining fee. The Sloane Club has a rich history spanning over 100 years. Its beautiful clubhouse is located a stone’s throw from Sloane Square.
This partnership with the Sloane Club offers our members all the upsides of a clubhouse. It provides access to a full-service location for entertaining guests and socialising with each other, as well as a Central London venue for hosting club events. Sloane Club members also have reciprocal access to over 170 clubs in over 20 countries, including the Harvard Clubs in New York and Boston and other Ivy League clubs in the US. The further advantage of partnering with a pre-existing club is that HCUK can offer our members the option to join the Sloane Club (at a discounted cost) or to enjoy full HCUK membership but avoid additional cost for those who elect not to join the physical club.
