London walking tour – Mind the gap! What makes us healthy?

Calling all Harvard alumni with an interest or curiosity in healthcare and public health!

Join us for a fun and insightful summer afternoon discovering how some of the biggest life savers in the history of humanity were not only medical doctors.

The Shared Interest Group (SIG) in Healthcare of Harvard Club UK is pleased to invite you to a private guided walking tour in London to connect with fellow alumni interested in healthcare while learning about the history of public health.

While the field of public health gained some recognition during the recent pandemic, it is easy to forget that most of factors that play a role in our quality of life and how long we live have little to do with the hospitals we attend when we are already ill (even if that’s important as well!). From sewers to vaccines, we will walk through the heart of London and learn about the pioneers that helped create a healthier world by changing the way we live and the conditions we live in.

Families and friends are also welcome!

Price
£15 for HCUK members and £18 for non members
