House of Lords Event with Baroness Camilla Cavendish MPA ’91

Join us for a special evening at the House of Lords with Baroness Camilla Cavendish of Little Venice, our distinguished host for the 2026 event.

The event will take place in the Peers’ Dining Room. The ticket price is per person and includes canapés, a selection of wine, beer, and non-alcoholic beverages.

Arrival: 7 pm for security for a 7:30 pm start. Event concludes at 10:00 pm.

Attendees may bring one non-HCUK guest. Price is per person.

Attendees must bring their official invitation and photographic ID to be permitted entry to the Parliamentary Estate. The entry gate will be specified on the official invitation. Airport-style security is in place. Please do not bring large bags.

Bio:

Camilla Cavendish, Baroness Cavendish of Little Venice, is a British journalist, Research Fellow at the Harvard Kennedy School and a crossbench peer in the House of Lords.

Her career in journalism spans the Financial Times (where she is contributing editor and columnist), the Times (2002 – 2012) and the Sunday Times (2012 – 2015). She is the author of “Extra Time: Ten Lessons for an Ageing World” published in 2019.

Baroness Cavendish graduated from Brasenose College, Oxford in 1989 with a first-class degree in PPE. She was a Kennedy Scholar at the Harvard Kennedy School where she earned her MPA degree in 1991. In 2018, she was appointed Senior Fellow at the Mossavar-Rahmani Center for Business and Government, Harvard Kennedy School.

Baroness Cavendish has a long career of serving the government. She has a background in policy with expertise in health and care. She is a former head of the Downing Street Policy Unit under Prime Minister David Cameron, the author of two independent reviews into health and social care, a former non-executive director of the Care Quality Commission and former chair of the national social work charity, Frontline: Changing Lives. Baroness Cavendish was appointed a non-executive director at the Department of Health and Social Care in early 2025. Baroness Camilla Cavendish was appointed a non-executive director at the Department of Health and Social Care on 13 January 2025.
